Pleasant Shared Row Home

I’m renting a furnished room in my house. The room measures 168 square feet and has good natural light. The room comes with a queen-size bed (60” by 80”), dresser, and, night stand. The room has two large closets. It is currently decorated, but I... will let the renter decorate with their own decorations if they wish. The cost is $825/month- and includes all utilities within the rent (water, electricity, gas, wi-fi).

I have a finished basement with adequate space for a small office or study. I will rent this space for an additional $150/month if you are interested. There is storage space in this area as well.

The house is a two-story, three-bedroom row house in West Philadelphia. The house has washer/drier, central air for heating and cooling, a spacious patio and garden. The bathroom, living room, and kitchen are shared spaces. The house is readily accessible to public transportation and located close to local universities and hospitals as well as the Baltimore Avenue commercial district.

I’m open to a 6-month, or 1-year lease agreement with one month paid as security deposit upon signing a lease agreement.

About me: Straight white male, 45, progressive, anti-racist, spiritual, and LGBTQ+ friendly. I speak English and Español. I keep my house clean and live a quiet life. I have friends over occasionally. I am partnered and my partner (she/her) stays over occasionally.

Qualities I am looking in a roommate: Quiet, clean, respectful. Willing to be amicable acquaintances and possibly friends. Open to all genders, races, and most ages. Not interested in someone who is a big partier. Open to graduate students, medical students, and faculty of all disciplines (no undergraduates). Open to all ages from young adult to senior citizens.
